Independence verses Dependence…
Sunday, July 04, 2004…Independence Day in America, and some 228-years since the Declaration of Independence was “unanimously adopted” by the Second Continental Congress back on July 04, 1776.
As i look around America today, these some 228-years later, and whilst typing these words intermittently mixed with intervals of reading the Declaration of Independence, humble Low and Ignorant Insane swamp hermit me wonders why ‘Da Authors didn’t call it the Declaration of Dependence…so to speak.
i mean, just look around today, and you see many American Citizens calling for the Government to provide them with better health care, with better jobs, with better housing, with cheaper food costs, with cheaper fuel costs, with better education, with a better environment, with more rules on “Big Business”, with a higher Tax Rate on the “Rich”, with better retirement benefits, etcetera. Such sounds sound more like calls for support, and certainly not the sounds emitting from a ‘Bell of Freedom’.
Let us see what the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary has to say about Independence and Dependence (NOTE: both words drop the “ce” and move to ‘Da “t”):
Independence – 1 : the quality or state of being independent
Independent – 1 : not dependent: as a (1) : not subject to control by others : SELF-GOVERNING (2) : not affiliated with a larger controlling unit b (1) : not requiring or relying on something else
Dependence – 1 : the quality or state of being dependent; especially : the quality or state of being influenced or determined by or subject to another : 4 a : drug addiction
Dependent – 2 a : determined or conditioned by another : CONTINGENT b (1) : relying on another for support (2) : affected with a drug dependence c : subject to another’s jurisdiction d : SUBORDINATE
i might be new to ‘Da Political Arena, but America’s Democrat Party is clearly about *DEPENDENCE*!!! This now brings us to the differences between Individual Rights and “Mob Rule”. The similarities between Independence, the Republican Party, Individual Rights, and Conservatism are quite clear. The similarities between Dependence, the Democrat Party, “Mob Rule”, and Liberalism/Socialism/Communism are just as clear.
So far, i have mentioned just two Political Parties here in America, but there are more. Personally, i would prefer the Libertarian Party, considering their support for the American Constitution, but many in that Party seem to forget that the Constitution also mentions the *DEFENSE* of America…so to speak. The Independent Party and the Green Party are merely extensions of the Democrat Party, in 99.999999999999% of ‘Da Cases.
America is now at War…during an “Election Year”…and, it is obviously not a War that any of us wanted, unless you actually believe the Democrat Party and their Mainstream Media. Someone tried to destroy the WTC back in 1993…someone tried to assassinate Bush “41” in 1993…someone has been conducting *WAR* against America for years, huh…so to speak.
“Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”…“all Men are created equal”…“Laws of Nature and of Nature’s GOD”. What do such Dualistic human words mean??? Does the “Pursuit of Happiness” mean that some Government owes me a swamp hut in which to live??? Does the “Laws of Nature” mean that there is a Mother Nature??? What does “all Men are created equal” mean out here in the so-called “Free World”??? In a human Prison, such meanings are *VERY* clear, even whilst one is behind the Prison Bars that are meant to stifle an *INDIVIDUAL* from thoughts of Independence and/or Freedom.
Life on Earth is a *LOT* like Life in a Prison and/or ‘Da *SWING* of a Pendulum…
If you Vote, then you should check out what is actually going on, before you Vote again, in my humble opinion…so to speak.
If America Votes against Socialism, then Americans win a lot. If America Votes for Socialism, then America collapses amongst a ‘Pack of Dogs’.
Basically, this is what Independence is about…even if your flesh finds itself behind Prison Bars, in ‘Da “Free World”, or even on the frontlines of a War:
“A man’s greatest work is to break his enemies, to drive them before him, to take from them all the things that have been theirs, to hear the weeping of those who cherished them, and then to take their wives and daughters to his own bosom.” – CHINGIS KHAN.
