The Swamp Hermit's Report

Hurricanes and Generators…

Posted in Liberalism, Uncategorized by Karmi on September 13, 2004

Hurricane Frances recently visited humble me, and much of Florida. She left at least six million Florida residents without electricity, and i’m not sure if that count included those who were still without electricity from Hurricane Charley. Before Hurricane Frances had even left my area of Florida (a remote swamp), Hurricane Ivan was being called the “I-word”…so to speak.

i’ve been in hurricanes in Texas…in Mississippi…and, in Florida. Lots of them in Florida, especially in the Miami area of Florida…though i did miss Hurricane Andrew. Hurricane Camille was one of the worse that i had been through (in Mississippi). Camille could blow rain far enough into a concrete block…as into the concrete blocks that make up a building, structure, or one’s home, that water ran down the inside concrete block walls. A Concrete Block is like 7-5/8” thick, with two 1-1/4” thick concrete ‘walls’ protecting the inner hollow cells or cores. Humble Low and Ignorant Insane swamp hermit me ventured outside during Hurricane Camille (not the windy side), several times to take a piss (into the windy side), and Camille was able to make a perfect 90-degree angle out of a stream of piss…*AND*, not allowing it to hit the ground!?!?!

This now brings me to electricity. When one becomes accustomed to electricity, then it becomes very difficult to do without, especially after a few hours…so to speak whilst smiling.

Americans are spoiled, but so what, *IF* they are willing to defend such a ‘spoiled’ lifestyle. Did you know that bacteria grows at an incredible rate, once your refrigerator reaches 60-degrees inside??? Did you know that a “bladder” water-tank is a joke??? Do you know that your computer will not work without electricity??? Americans are so spoiled that most of us start crying after the second day without electricity.

By the third day without electricity, most Americans start thinking about a generator. However, by then, generators are gone, and one can forget about “backorders” in most cases.

America is now at *WAR*, unless you believe the American Democrat party, or their Mainstream Media. America lost around 3000 Americans, in an *ATTACK* on September 11, 2001. The Democrats and their Mainstream Media waited like vultures, for like eighteen months, for a Troop “Death Count” of “1000”!?!

By the time that day six without electricity rolls around, many are thinking about at least a “3500 watt” generator. A “3500 watt” generator ain’t bad, but watts and generators are very similar to memory and computers…so to speak of the “more-the-better”.

Well, hurricanes are like “blips” of discomfort when compared to *WAR*!!! And, a generator does not run without fuel. If i recall correctly, America lost some 400,000 of its Military Troops during WW2. Its Memorial didn’t open until “April 29, 2004”: http://www.wwiimemorial.com/

For some reason, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial opened a lot sooner (like in 1982), and if i recall correctly, America lost some 58,000 of its Military Troops in that one: http://www.nps.gov/vive/index.htm

John “F” Kerry took a camera to Vietnam, and left when the film ran out, some 4 months later. He left with three Purple hearts, some Bronze Stars, and a Silver Star. Er, OK.

A man’s greatest work is to break his enemies, to drive them before him, to take from them all the things that have been theirs, to hear the weeping of those who cherished them, and then to take their wives and daughters to his own bosom.” – CHINGIS KHAN.

A man’s greatest work is to break his enemies, to drive them before him, to take from them all the things that have been theirs, to hear the weeping of those who cherished them, to take their horses between his knees and to press in his arms, the most desirable of their women.” – Genghis Khan

PS. Ask John “F” about the differences between “Chingis” and “Genghis” stuff.
