Obama – Puppet on a Terrorist’s ‘String’
“I want to campaign the same way I govern, which is to respond directly and forcefully with the truth,”
~ Barack Obama, 11/08/07
Senator Obama supposedly ‘condemned’ the violent actions of Bill Ayers’ terrorist Weathermen group, and then explains that he “was an eight-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost forty years ago is ridiculous.” However, when confronted about his more recent close connections with Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, Obama says that Bill Ayers is just – “a guy who lives in my neighborhood” and that Ayers is “not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.” Trying to get the “truth” from Senator Obama is akin to trying to pull teeth out of a lion’s mouth!
In TRUTH, the Obama-Ayers connection runs much deeper than Senator Obama will admit, and anyone attempting to get at that TRUTH runs into a steel enforced ‘block wall’.
STONEWALLING STANLEY KURTZ
Stanley Kurtz has been digging into Barack Obama’s network of relationships in Chicago. Among his articles on the subject is “Inside Obama’s ACORN,” and the recent Standard article “Barack Obama’s lost years.” Among the most intriguing relationships Kurtz has sought to explore is the one between Obama and Bill Ayers, the unrepentant terrorist. Obama has consistently sought to downplay his relationship with Ayers, describing him, for example, as “a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who’s a professor of English in Chicago.”
Obama came out-of-nowhere – with a ‘skimpy record’ – and is now the Democratic Presidential candidate. Then the racist Rev. Wright showed up, and Obama was basically allowed – by the MSM – to walk away from that controversy, just like he was allowed – by the MSM – to walk away from his connections to the terrorist Bill Ayers. Stanley Kurtz wanted to take another look at “Barack Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers”, and now he is clearly being ‘Stonewalled’.
A cover-up in the making?
Ayers was pictured in a 2001 article for Chicago magazine, stomping on an American flag, and told the New York Times just before 9/11 that the notion of the United States as a just and fair and decent place “makes me want to puke.” Although Obama actually launched his political career at an event at Ayers’s and Dohrn’s home, Obama has dismissed Ayers as just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” and “not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.” For his part, Ayers refuses to discuss his relationship with Obama.
When Obama made his first run for political office, articles in both the Chicago Defender and the Hyde Park Herald featured among his qualifications his position as chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a foundation where Ayers was a founder and guiding force. Obama assumed the Annenberg board chairmanship only months before his first run for office, and almost certainly received the job at the behest of Bill Ayers. During Obama’s time as Annenberg board chairman, Ayers’s own education projects received substantial funding. Indeed, during its first year, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge struggled with significant concerns about possible conflicts of interest. With a writ to aid Chicago’s public schools, the Annenberg challenge played a deeply political role in Chicago’s education wars, and as Annenberg board chairman, Obama clearly aligned himself with Ayers’s radical views on education issues. With Obama heading up the board and Ayers heading up the other key operating body of the Annenberg Challenge, the two would necessarily have had a close working relationship for years (therefore “exchanging ideas on a regular basis”). So when Ayers and Dorhn hosted that kickoff for the first Obama campaign, it was not a random happenstance, but merely further evidence of a close and ongoing political partnership. Of course, all of this clearly contradicts Obama’s dismissal of the significance of his relationship with Ayers.
Cover-Up? – Unfortunately, I don’t yet have access to the documents. The Special Collections section of the Richard J. Daley Library agreed to let me read them, but just before I boarded my flight to Chicago, the top library officials mysteriously intervened to bar access.
The sudden shift from Kurtz being allowed to “read them” to then having his “Access Denied” has caught the attention of many others…for example:
- University Denies Access to Obama-Ayers Documents – The “finding guide” describing the contents of the Annenburg Challenge files is detailed. Stanley Kurtz’s suspicions are not unfounded. We need to see what’s in those documents.
- “Annenberg-Gate” – It’s not the crime, it’s the cover up – Ironic, that a public university would attempt to prevent a legitimate author and journalist – with a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Harvard to boot – from accessing documents legitimately housed in their library. Ironic, and possibly illegal.
- University won’t open Obama-related records now – The University of Illinois on Tuesday refused to release records relating to Barack Obama’s service to a nonprofit group linked to former 1960s radical activist William Ayers.
Apparently Senator Obama’s idea of ‘CHANGE’ is to bring even more corruption and ‘S-E-C-R-E-C-Y’ to Washington…
